Early this week Army directed that ECN500 entry is to be closed to all new applicants.
Apparently due to the high number of candidates and the record target achievement so far this year Army is having a hard time assigning ECN500 applicants to a job after they have completed Kapooka.
Anyone in the system who has been offered an ECN500 position will still be enlisted as ECN500 but all other applicants will have to change to another preference.
All future ECN500 positions will be closed off.
Note it is understood that ECN500 has only been closed off for Full Time entry. It is still available for Gap Year entry.
